Recognize the signs:

In children:

  • Infants: excessive crying or developmental delay
  • Fear, anxiety, clinging
  • Phobias
  • Nightmares, sleeping problems
  • Bedwetting
  • Social withdrawal
  • Hyperactivity
  • Poor concentration/distractibility
  • Poor appearance and hygiene
  • Health and development problems
  • Changes in behavior
